Praying for the protection of God is a right, a responsibility and a requirement.
I put my life in the hands of Almighty God who not only created me, but this world and this universe, who supersedes time and space and whose greatness is so vast that my puny mind cannot comprehend it. I don’t lean on my own understanding because my understanding is so limited.
This is what the Bible says is the secret to devote myself to Him, to give everything to God, and to understand that He has everything under control.
When I give God everything and I make God my refuge, my everything, his sovereignty and my place in eternity become the important issue. I begin to realize that life within the confines of a loving God who wants the best for me is the best protection for me and those I pray for. Protection from harm, protection from sickness, protection in crisis situations and so much more.
When I make the agreement to give everything to God, my logic and what I consider “fair” in life is given to Him, and He protects me in a way that is best for me. He protects those I pray for in a way that is best for them.
